Grade EDC PSIRA security training is to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills required to perform basic security functions. This training is designed for individuals who are new to the security industry, basic security experience, responsible for providing security services at a lower level and do not have supervisory or management responsibilities.

The objective of this training is to ensure that participants develop a basic to deeper understanding of security procedures and regulations, an ability to identify and report security risks, and provide basic customer service.

The Grade EDC PSIRA security training covers a range of topics, including

  • Basic to deeper understaning of security procedures and regulations.
  • Identify and report security risks and incidents.
  • Demonstrate basic to advanced communication skills and customer service.
  • Understand the importance of access control and patrol procedures.
  • Understand the legal aspects of security operations.

Participants will learn how to identify and report security risks, monitor security systems, and provide basic customer service.

The purpose of Grade EDC Security Training is to ensure that new training Officers are introduced professionally in the Private Security Industry, and also know what is expected from them with regard to upholding the Law as Security Officers.

Upon completion of the 15 day training, the candidate is expected to fully address all the responsibilities and challenges in the work place as per containment in the 31 modules of these grades required by a patrol security officer.
